Whiterose

Kevin Wilson & Dougie Smith are the two founder members of Whiterose {Scottish/Irish

Jacobite Duo}. They got together at the beginning of the year after a trial practice proved

successfull and everything just fell into place. Although playing in different bands for many

years the two shared the same interests and passions about Scotland and her music , Kevin

was founder members of both Claymore and Schiltrum and Dougie was in a similar position

with Hamebrew and Mak-a-Din. Whiterose offers the lads the chance to take their music a

little bit further in the way of instrument addition and song writing. So with many more

years in front of them the lads are looking forward to a long and successfull future with

Whiterose....Cheers for now.

Riverside Inn , Callander Sunday 5th April 09 :- 4pm - 7pm. A great venue with a great crowd.

The Clachaig Inn , Glencoe Sat 4th April 09 :- 9pm - 11.45 pm. A favorite venue for Whiterose , an amazing atmosphere in a cracking Inn.

The Canal Inn , Camelon , Lock 15 Sunday 29th March 09 :- 4pm - 7pm. A favorite venue for Whiterose , brilliant staff and clientel.

Lithgae Arms , Linlithgow Sat 28th March 09 :- 9pm - Mnt. A great night out for the lads.

Dalgair House Hotel , Callander Sat 21st March 09 :- 9pm - Mnt.

Hilton Coylumbridge Hotel , Aviemore Tuesday 17th March 09 :- 8.30 -11pm. The first visit to this venue for Whiterose , looking forward to it.

Peppe's Lounge , Alloa Sat. 14th March :- 7pm - 10pm , a great wee pub with a cracking atmosphere.

Kevin and Dougie recently got together to form "Whiterose" after playing in separate groups for many years.
Their combined passion for Scottish music and History plays a major part in their performances Kevin was one part , and a founder member of both Claymore and Schiltrum who did gigs for Groups like Na Fir Dileas,Crann Tara, Siol nan Gaidheal to mention but few . Dougie was in a similar situation with both Hamebrew and Mak-a- Din in which they both enjoyed a good level of success. The lads are looking forward to a great future and partnership with "WHITEROSE"

The Trybe The tribe combine visual excitement with a fast, furious, full scale, aural assault and they only have one volume setting. LOUD!!!! They play the big drum, bodhran, and bagpipes to create an amazing sound.

The Highland Clansman Hi Folk’s, I am The Highland Clansman. As you can see from my photo album I actually dress in authentic period costume and walk the hills of Scotland. I also teach people about the Scottish Highlander.

Na Fir Dileas Na Fir Dileas are a cultural, historical and heritage awareness group whose membership is open to all persons over the age of eighteen years (18+) , regardless of their sex, race, creed or religion.

Crann Tara Crann Tara is all about, rallying those who are interested in Scotland's history and believe it is something worth preserving, as well as bringing alive the culture, history and heritage and taking it to a wider audience.
